"The current trend in industry today is to go beyond preventive maintenance, to predictive maintenance [PdM]," marketing manager Christophe Lemaire at ADI, said. "Predictive maintenance can lower the cost of repairs by more than 25 percent, if you can detect them early.

"It can cost ten times more to repair equipment if you have wait until it fails," said Harvey Weinberg, senior applications engineer at ADI.

    Mold Intrusion & Moisture

Moisture Intrusion in buildings can destroy the structural integrity of most materials and nurture mold. The first step in a moisture intrusion problem is to investigate, locate and identify the source of the intrusion. Then Professional remediation is required to quickly and accurately remove all sources of damaged material and the correct the source of the moisture intrusion.

Infrared thermal imaging has been increasingly used to identify wet building materials that can be sources of mold growth and degraded indoor environmental quality. Our Trained and Certified Building Science Thermographers can rapidly identify areas of concern so that an in-depth evaluation and corrective action can be taken to correct degraded indoor environmental quality.

    Roofing

Infrared roof inspections locate deterioration and/or damage caused by water leakage in roofing systems, saving an enormous amount of time and money by pinpointing and enabling the repair of wet, failed areas of a roof, rather than replacing an entire roofing system

An Electrical Fire Causes An Evacuation At the Harvard Campus in Massachusetts
5/02/2008 Lauren Burgoyne KOLD NEWS 13 News Reporter

At least 700 people in Cambridge, Massachusetts woke up without power Friday morning because of an electrical fire burning below the ground that climbed to the streets. People actually witnessed fire shooting up through the manholes in the streets.

A portion of Harvard square was closed to traffic, and atleast one building on Harvard University's campus was evacuated because of carbon monoxide concerns. Three bus routes were diverted but so far there are no reports of deaths or injuries.

Thermal imaging is a valuable tool in Preventive and Predictive Maintenance of electrical Panels, Circuits, Fuses & Breakers. Our Infrared Thermal Scan is able to help detect problems, prevent unscheduled downtime, guide needed corrective action and increase plant & facility safety. We use only FLIR infrared cameras, the Global leader in Infrared Technology. This Technology has been proven for more than 30 years in industrial thermal imaging. We can save you time and money, with the highest return on you investment.
